Tofu Scramble
Here is a super quick, versatile, and easy preparation for tofu. I tend to always have a block of tofu in the fridge, and this is a great way to use it. You can use this in the mornings as a substitute for eggs. You can have this at lunch as a filling for a sandwich. You can have this for dinner as a taco filling. You can do whatever you want with it. It's your world. We’re just living in it.
You’ll need:
1 pound block firm tofu
1 packet (3 ounces) Bard & Bellom taco seasoning. I used Original when making this recipe
Oil
Preparation:
Get a nonstick skillet heating on your stovetop over medium-high heat.
Drain liquid from tofu. Place tofu into a mixing bowl. Dump seasoning packet onto tofu and begin to crumble tofu with your hands. This only takes about 30 seconds at most. Just make sure it’s crumbly and the spice is thoroughly mixed.
Put some oil into your now hot pan and add tofu mixture to pan.
Using a heat proof spatula, stir tofu and heat through for about 3-5 minutes.
That’s pretty much it! Like I said, quick and easy. You also don’t have to cook it all at once. You can store any uncooked part of this in the refrigerator for a couple of days and it will be totally fine. But try to use it all within 2-3 days of removing the tofu from its original packaging.
