Spicy Bloody Mary
Oooh, you have been waiting for this one. It’s a keeper. Classic Bloody Mary, with a spicy rimmed glass and some nice garnishes. I make these a bit strong on the alcohol side, but mostly that’s because I will only have one or two at most. You can adjust as you see fit. I will give you a pretty basic Bloody Mary recipe, but feel free to substitute your favorite recipe that you like. Here is what you will need.
You’ll need:
2 oz vodka
6 oz tomato juice
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
Worcestershire sauce, a couple dashes
Black pepper
Ice
Lime wedge
Garnish: Celery stalk, green olives, cilantro, jalapeno
Preparation:
Take a pint glass or whatever you use for cocktails and run a lime wedge thoroughly around the inside and outside rim. Get it pretty wet.
Dump a packet (or shake some out of your shaker) of Bard & Bellom taco seasoning onto a plate.
Place the wet rim of the glass onto the plate of taco seasoning and get the rim covered with seasoning as much as possible. Use your fingers to help if necessary.
Fill glass about halfway with ice.
Mix vodka, tomato juice, horseradish, and Worcestershire sauce together in a separate glass or cocktail Shaker. Thoroughly mix.
Pour mixture over the ice nearly to the top of the glass.
Garnish with celery stalk and whatever else you have on hand. Just make it look great.
Drink with friends.
